Making Materials
Making materials is easy when you have the FREE Product Application and Support Software (PASS) from Prentke Romich Company, available in the DOWNLOAD section of their website. Select the Minspeak device you are using and download the PASS software.
There are many features in the PASS software that are useful for making therapy and teaching materials. Start by trying out the "Write with Icons" feature - a tool that lets you type the word you want to say and the PASS software automatically brings up the icon sequence for that word. You simply type out the content of the materials you are creating and let the PASS software retrieve the icon sequences for you.
Once you start using the PASS software to make materials, please consider sharing those materials!
Sharing Materials
The Prentke Romich Company website includes a Teaching Materials Exchange - a FREE place to share innovative ways to teach language at a variety of age levels, from preschool to adult. Minspeak users, speech-language therapists, teachers, classroom assistants, families, students, and peers are all welcome to contribute ideas.
Create a FREE Member Account and download materials.
Create a FREE Author Account and upload your own ideas.
If you desire to turn your ideas into commercially available teaching materials, contact Semantic Compaction Systems to inquire about the necessary steps to obtain a license to produce and sell Minspeak-based materials.
